Job Title: Retail Store Manager

Barnes & Noble Education, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Manager to lead our Technical College of the Lowcountry campus bookstore. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales, building strong relationships with the campus community, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the store in daily operations, including financial management, merchandising, and talent acquisition.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with the campus community, faculty, and corporate partners.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales, increase customer satisfaction, and expand store traffic.
  • Manage a team of sales associates and managers, providing training, direction, and counseling to ensure exceptional customer experiences.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and sales through effective scheduling, talent acquisition, and training.
  • Analyze sales figures, interpret trends, and forecast future sales to manage controllable costs and keep operations profitable.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience in a retail setting, or a graduate of the Best Seller Program.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a relevant field.
  • Strong leadership experience, with the ability to direct and develop a workforce of managers and sales associates.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with financial and customer service principles.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
