Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Masters Mental Health Professional to join our team at Kaiser Permanente in Fairfield, California. As a key member of our multidisciplinary clinic, you will provide mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services to adult and child members. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and implementing effective treatment plans, collaborating with treating physicians and allied health professionals, and ensuring seamless care coordination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for members with acute or chronic mental health needs.
  • Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy, as well as crisis intervention services.
  • Collaborate with treating physicians and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated care.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based practices and psychotherapy research methods.
  • Develop and conduct psychoeducational classes and groups to promote member engagement and empowerment.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate, confidential records, adhering to state and NCQA regulations.
  • Participate in departmental program development, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring quality of service and adherence to best practices.
Requirements
  • Masters degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) with Couples and Families Endorsement within 24 months of hire.
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
  • Knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, and professional board standards related to member treatment, patient rights, and member/patient confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous post-license experience as a member of a psychiatric treatment team in an outpatient or inpatient setting/program under licensed supervision.
  • Previous clinical responsibility, including crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy.
  • Demonstrated professional maturity and ethical integrity, with a commitment to quality of service, teamwork, and participation in a highly interactive multidisciplinary clinic.
