Regional VRF Sales Director

About the RoleThis is a virtual/remote position. High consideration given to applicants located in or within a commutable distance from Chicago, IL.
The Regional VRF Sales Director is responsible for all aspects and daily functions of their respective region's VRF activities. This role supports vital business and product metrics required to meet company goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hire, train, and supervise regional sales support teams.
- Provide sales management and marketing for local sales channels.
- Develop annual department budgets and ensure delivery of all achievements within agreed budget and time.
- Develop and maintain relationships with sales channels and enhance their development of VRF knowledge and focus.
- Assist in driving specification in the local market.
- Ensure that all project information is inputted and regularly updated in CRM.
- Responsible for regular updates of sales pipeline management.
- Develop joint action plans in conjunction with branches, applied representatives, and distributors for planned growth in VRF.
- Act as an extension to the training department to train staff and sales channels with regularly scheduled activities.
- Develop and recommend product positioning and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
- Prepare analysis of driven activity for management, as well as prepare plans to overcome driven obstacles.
- Establish and maintain key relationships with influencers and strategic partners to increase market transparency.
- Establish JCI VRF presence at key local associations such as ACCA, ASHRAE, MCCA, HARDI.
- Responsible for coordinating all local VRF-related events, including trade shows and engineering seminars.
- Travel 25-30% throughout the region.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology.
- 5+ years' experience in HVAC or industrial experience.
- 5+ years' experience selling VRF.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, particularly with technical problems.
- Outstanding social skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications.
- Ability to travel within assigned regions (OH, IL, IN, MI, MN, and WI).
We welcome candidates with additional qualifications, including:
- MA/MS degree.
- Engineering experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- 10+ years' experience in VRF, HVAC sales, or industrial experience.
- Technical experience with BMS/BAS, Chillers, Applied HVAC.
- Professional Engineer certification.
- LEED A.P. and CEM accreditation.
Please note that these qualifications are not mandatory but would be advantageous in this role.
