Job Summary

Gesher Human Services is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Services Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our staff, clients, and visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming.
  • Empty trash and recyclables, and replace liners in waste receptacles.
  • Clean and disinfect surfaces, including walls, doors, partitions, and handrails in restrooms.
  • Restock dispensers with soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and sanitary napkins.
  • Perform spot cleaning of carpet, rugs, and walk-off mats as needed.
  • Assist with special events and projects as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Documented and verifiable disability strongly preferred.
  • Six months related experience and/or documented training in janitorial field required.
  • Ability to follow designated janitorial task sequences and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and obtain police clearance or bonded.
  • Ability to push and lift equipment, office furniture, and accessories weighing up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions

This position involves moderate noise levels and the ability to work in a confined area. The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard, reach, stoop, kneel.

Light to moderate lifting is required. The employee must pass required background checks and drug tests.
