Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned operations professional to lead our marine experiences team. As Vice President of Marine Experiences, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution and product experience enhancement of all sightseeing and event cruises. This includes managing all aspects of operations and hospitality to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Execution: Lead all aspects of product execution to deliver a world-class experience consistently across all marine products.
  • P&L Management: Own the P&L function for the water tours and develop and manage operational budgets.
  • Revenue Growth: Actively seek new revenue-generating opportunities through better utilization of existing resources and identification of key industry trends.
  • Operational Efficiency: Analyze current operational processes, identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement; propose and implement process enhancements to optimize resource utilization and increase cost efficiency.
  • Team Management: Be responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, and performance monitoring of all operations and hospitality staff.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish routine quality assurance procedures, identify gaps between the achieved product quality and anticipated product standards, and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
  • Customer Feedback: Gather and analyze customer feedback collected through various forums to determine and implement changes to improve customer experience.
  • Partner Relationships: Develop and manage key partner relationships with landlords, vendors, caterers, maintenance facilities, security service providers, etc.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in an applicable discipline - preferably in an engineering, business, operations management, hospitality, or related field.
  • Experience: 15+ years of operations/hospitality management experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership: Proven abilities in elevating product presentation and customer experience, strong people leadership experience in hiring, managing, motivating, and performance managing teams of 100+.
  • Skills: Exceptional data analysis and presentation skills, ability to establish priorities, manage workload, and respond with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Technology: Experience with various productivity, project management, and financial suites like Google Workspace, MS Office, SAP, Netsuite, etc.
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills, experience negotiating with vendors on price, quality, and payment terms.
