Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at LewisGale Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing nuclear medicine procedures, calibrating equipment, and ensuring radiation safety.

Responsibilities
  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures, including imaging and diagnostic studies
  • Calibrate and maintain equipment to ensure accurate results
  • Ensure radiation safety and follow universal precautions
  • Order, prepare, and store radiopharmaceuticals
  • Administer intravenous or venous line injections of radiopharmaceuticals as authorized by physician
  • Interact with physicians to adjust diagnostic studies program/plan
  • Manipulate raw data and review studies for correct positioning and overall quality
  • Perform decontamination procedures and maintain security of all hot and decay areas
Requirements
  • Graduate from an Accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • Certification by CNMT or ARRT in Nuclear Medicine licensure
  • Basic Life Support Certification
  • Ability to perform Nuclear Medicine procedures following accepted standards and protocols
