Nuclear Medicine Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technician to join our team at LewisGale Medical Center. As a Nuclear Medicine Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical imaging department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all established nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring accurate and safe administration of radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Conduct required calibration and quality checks, documenting results in appropriate logs while maintaining radiation safety and adhering to universal precautions.
  • Manipulate raw data, reviewing studies for correct positioning and overall quality.
  • Participate in on-call duties and/or work variable shifts to meet department needs.
Requirements:
  • Graduate from an Accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • Certification by CNMT or ARRT in Nuclear Medicine licensure.
  • Ability to perform Nuclear Medicine procedures following accepted standards and protocols.
