About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at LewisGale Medical Center. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing diagnostic imaging procedures using radiopharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Order and prepare radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Administer intravenous or venous line injections of radiopharmaceuticals to patients
  • Interact with physicians to adjust diagnostic studies and ensure accurate results
  • Manipulate raw data and review studies for correct positioning and quality
  • Perform decontamination procedures and maintain security of "hot" and "decay" areas

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nuclear medicine technology
  • Certification by CNMT or ARRT in nuclear medicine licensure
  • Basic life support certification
  • Ability to perform nuclear medicine procedures following accepted standards and protocols
