Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at LewisGale Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing nuclear medicine procedures, preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, and ensuring radiation safety.
Responsibilities- Perform all established nuclear medicine procedures, including calibration and quality checks, while practicing radiation safety and observing universal precautions.
- Order, prepare, and store radiopharmaceuticals, and administer intravenous or venous line injections as authorized by physicians.
- Interact with physicians to adjust diagnostic studies and programs.
- Manipulate raw data, review studies for correct positioning and quality, and perform decontamination procedures.
- Participate in on-call duties and/or work variable shifts to meet department needs.
- Graduate from an Accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
- Certification by CNMT or ARRT in Nuclear Medicine licensure.
- Basic Life Support Certification.
- Ability to perform Nuclear Medicine procedures following accepted standards and protocols.
