Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at LewisGale Medical Center. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing all established nuclear medicine procedures, including calibration and quality checks, while practicing radiation safety and observing universal precautions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Order, prepare, and store radiopharmaceuticals
  • Administer intravenous or venous line injections of radiopharmaceuticals as authorized by physician
  • Interact with physician to adjust diagnostic studies program/plan
  • Manipulate raw data and review studies for correct positioning and overall quality
  • Perform decontamination procedures and maintain security of all hot and decay areas
Requirements
  • Graduate from an Accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology
  • Certification by CNMT or ARRT in Nuclear Medicine licensure
  • Basic Life Support Certification
  • Ability to perform Nuclear Medicine procedures following accepted standards and protocols
