We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchens, ensuring exceptional food quality, and driving innovation in our culinary offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and exceed guest expectations.
- Lead and manage a high-performing kitchen team, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure their success.
- Collaborate with our culinary team to design and execute new menu concepts, specials, and promotions that drive revenue and guest satisfaction.
- Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and maintenance to ensure efficient operations and minimize waste.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Participate in service education programs to enhance guest experience and drive sales.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
- 2 or 4-year degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management preferred.
- Food Handler Certification and Alcohol Awareness Certification (if applicable).
- Proven ability to manage a team, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of financial and business metrics, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Advanced knowledge of culinary arts, oenology, pastry, banquet, in-room dining, and management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows operating system, Microsoft Office Suite, and restaurant POS system.
- Flexible schedule, with ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
