Job Summary:

The Patient Services Representative is a vital member of the TeamHealth team, responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in our pediatric after-hours urgent care facility. As a Patient Services Representative, you will be the first point of contact for patients and their families, providing a warm and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional patient care: Greet patients and their families, verify demographic and personal information, and provide direct assistance to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Manage patient flow: Register patients, scan and index charts, and fax patient charts to primary care physicians as needed.
  • Communicate effectively: Interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals in a respectful and professional manner, maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
  • Administrative tasks: Assist with clerical duties, prepare superbills, and collect co-pays and past due balances.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution: Utilize resources to obtain patient information when patients are unable to communicate, and address conflicts in a professional manner.
  • Team collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless patient care and support.
  • Continuous learning: Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on policies, procedures, and best practices.
