Manufacturing Operations Supervisor

As a key player in our production team, the Manufacturing Operations Supervisor will oversee essential functions to ensure the efficient operation of our manufacturing processes.
Core Responsibilities
This role encompasses a variety of duties, including but not limited to:
- Training and enforcing adherence to company safety protocols and procedures.
- Implementing and maintaining food safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Mentoring staff in the setup and operation of machinery to guarantee that the final products comply with customer and regulatory standards.
- Conducting cleaning and sanitization of equipment during product changeovers and performing inspections prior to production start-up.
- Taking ownership of departmental performance and outcomes.
- Maintaining accurate and organized records and documentation.
- Leading and motivating team members for safe and efficient equipment operation.
- Collaborating with colleagues, including maintenance and quality assurance teams, to achieve production objectives.
- Assisting other departments as necessary and performing related tasks as assigned.
- Participating in all mandatory training sessions provided by the company.
To excel in this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a machine operator in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with manufacturing specifications and quality standards.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, allergens, and personal protective equipment.
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
- Respectful communication with colleagues at all organizational levels.
- Problem-solving abilities in collaboration with maintenance personnel.
- Capability to identify root causes of issues and implement corrective actions effectively.
- Proficiency in reading and writing English; bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
- Basic math and computer skills.
This position requires working on the production floor, adhering to GMP guidelines in a dynamic manufacturing environment that may involve exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
Physical RequirementsThe physical demands of this role include:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Performing repetitive tasks.
- Bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing as necessary.
- Handling raw materials and ingredients, including lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
- Utilizing GMP and PPE appropriately.
This position supervises the Packaging Production Lead and Roasting/Mixing/Packaging Operators.
CompensationThe pay range for this position is $23.00 to $25.00 per hour.
