Job Overview

Position Summary: The role involves the secure and compliant management of raw materials and finished products. The individual will ensure that production lines are adequately supplied with necessary materials during operational runs and that any surplus is returned to storage in accordance with SnackCraft's protocols.

Compensation: $19-$21 per hour based on experience

Department: Production and Warehouse

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Warehouse Supervisor

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Hilo Certification (OSHA compliant)

Work Schedule:

3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday; 11:00 PM - 7:20 AM

Work Environment: This position is situated within a food production and warehouse environment. The flooring is concrete, and the noise level is moderate without vibrations. Material handling occurs throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Model adherence to GMPs, OSHA Safety standards, and all operational procedures.
  • Supply production with appropriate packaging materials, pallets, ingredients, and films.
  • Wrap, label, and transport finished products from the production area to the warehouse or designated staging areas.
  • Move materials to various locations within the facility.
  • Optimize loads to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Secure loads to machinery prior to transport.
  • Inspect vehicles for any damages.
  • Operate and manage technical equipment effectively.
  • Identify potential workplace safety hazards.
  • Comply with safety management standards.
  • Follow production schedules diligently.
  • Utilize FEFO (First Expired First Out) for raw material retrieval from storage to production lines.
  • Implement FIFO (First In First Out) when storing finished products.
  • Place raw materials in a designated staging area for warehouse supervisor review before restocking.
  • Check the overrun area before each new production run for rewrapping opportunities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse, including consolidating storage locations.
  • Adhere to SnackCraft's allergen control protocols to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Handle, store, and distribute raw materials, finished goods, allergens, and identity-claimed materials properly.
  • Comply with all SnackCraft policies, programs, and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

  • Effective communication skills for information exchange.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull moderately heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) as required.
  • Manual dexterity to operate equipment.
  • Capability to reach overhead, above shoulders, and horizontally.
  • Flexibility to bend, kneel, sit, or crouch as needed.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.

Essential Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of practices, procedures, and techniques in food manufacturing.
  • Proper lifting techniques.
  • Strong mathematical skills for calculations.
  • Attention to detail in record-keeping.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
