Position Overview:

The Engineering Process Specialist at Southwire will be instrumental in overseeing and refining the manufacturing processes within the plant. This role requires close collaboration with various teams to ensure efficient production workflows, implement continuous improvement strategies, and uphold quality compliance. The Process Engineer will also play a vital role in new product launches, process enhancement, troubleshooting, and data evaluation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for process enhancement, creating actionable plans to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize material utilization.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for machinery and process-related challenges, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and boost productivity.
  • Develop and revise work instructions, process standards, and tooling specifications to ensure consistent operations and reduce errors.
  • Oversee tooling and die management to improve machine performance and resolve tooling-related issues.
  • Evaluate machine guarding systems to guarantee adherence to safety regulations and best practices.
  • Analyze data from the Connected Factory to identify trends, performance gaps, and areas for improvement.
  • Employ data analysis and statistical methodologies to leverage process data for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in change management efforts associated with process modifications, equipment upgrades, and the integration of new technologies.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to support the design and implementation of new products and process modifications, establishing a comprehensive project plan for successful product launches.

Qualifications:

Essential:
