We are seeking a highly skilled Database Engineer II to join our team at Digital Federal Credit Union (DCU). As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with application developers to optimize database performance and indexing.
- Create and manage databases, tables, indexes, constraints, and triggers.
- Perform database installation, configuration, and maintenance on cloud and on-premises environments.
- Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines for NoSQL database deployments.
- Monitor and maintain database performance, backups, and capacity management.
- Identify and resolve database-related issues and provide technical support as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in database management.
- 4-year degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in database administration.
- Experience with infrastructure as code and open-source data warehouses in AWS/Azure.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with business systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
