Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Summit, our upscale American Brasserie. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting all menu items, as well as assisting the Chef de Cuisine with daily responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Preparation: Prepare and present all menu items to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Assist Chef de Cuisine: Assist the Chef de Cuisine with daily responsibilities, including ordering, line management, and menu execution.
  • Team Management: Manage a staff of 10-20 employees, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless service.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Maintain the highest standards of food safety and quality, ensuring that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure that all inventory is properly managed, including ordering and receiving supplies.
  • Station Management: Manage your station independently, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree (A.A) or at least three (3) years of related culinary experience and/or training.
  • Experience: At least three (3) years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills, ability to work well under pressure, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
