Position Overview

The role involves overseeing and delivering operational assistance within a centralized storage facility, encompassing all activities related to the receipt, storage, issuance, distribution, and disposal of supplies and equipment, including hazardous materials. Responsibilities also extend to the collection and delivery of supplies, materials, and furniture to various locations, as well as supporting office relocations and managing Department of Defense (DoD) accountable equipment as directed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and guide warehouse personnel on diverse projects.
  • Prepare requisition forms and receiving documentation.
  • Monitor and confirm the receipt of equipment for billing purposes.
  • Issue and recover temporary hand receipts.
  • Utilize mobile scanning technology for inventory management and DoD accountability systems.
  • Maintain organized documentation and supporting files.
  • Prepare maintenance requests and manage tracking files.
  • Conduct independent inventories of equipment, materials, and supplies as required.
  • Manage property inventories and conduct stock level assessments.
  • Prepare materials for shipment, including packing and labeling.
  • Receive and deliver supplies and equipment efficiently.
  • Process material acceptance and receipt using specialized security equipment.
  • Transport equipment and supplies, including furniture, as directed.
  • Operate warehouse vehicles and equipment, including cargo trucks and forklifts.
  • Provide logistical support for events, including setup and teardown.
  • Collect and transport recyclable materials to designated facilities.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and warehouse equipment.
  • Manage the maintenance and servicing of leased vehicles.
  • Conduct refueling and cleaning of vehicles as needed.
  • Facilitate office relocations and building moves.
  • Execute additional warehouse duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: One year of relevant experience may substitute for one year of education, if a degree is required.
    • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of four years of relevant work experience is required.
  • Certifications:
    • Valid U.S. Driver's license is required.
    • Commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred; CDL-A endorsement is desired.
    • Certification to operate a forklift is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency with mobile scanning devices.
    • Familiarity with Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS).
    • Knowledge of Financial Accounting and Corporate Tracking System (FACTS).
  • Work Environment:
    • U.S. citizenship is required.
    • Ability to work in sensitive operational environments.
    • Willingness to work indoors and outdoors, in various conditions.
    • Capability to operate standard office equipment.
    • Experience in operating warehouse vehicles and equipment.
    • Ability to function in both office and warehouse settings.
