Position Overview

The role involves overseeing and facilitating the efficient operation of the centralized warehouse, encompassing all activities related to the reception, storage, issuance, distribution, and disposal of supplies and equipment, including hazardous materials. Key duties also include the transportation of supplies, materials, and furniture to various locations, assisting with office relocations, and managing the receipt and accountability of Department of Defense (DoD) equipment as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and guide warehouse personnel on diverse projects.
  • Prepare requisition and turn-in documentation along with receiving reports.
  • Monitor and confirm the receipt of equipment for billing purposes.
  • Generate, distribute, and recover temporary hand receipts.
  • Utilize mobile scanning technology for tracking supplies and equipment within DoD accountability systems.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation files.
  • Prepare maintenance requests and manage follow-up documentation.
  • Conduct independent and directed inventories of equipment, materials, and consumables.
  • Oversee property inventories and stock level assessments as directed.
  • Prepare materials for shipment, including packing and labeling.
  • Receive and distribute supplies and equipment as necessary.
  • Process the acceptance of materials using specialized warehouse security equipment.
  • Transport equipment and supplies, including furniture, to and from the warehouse.
  • Operate various warehouse vehicles and equipment, including cargo trucks and forklifts.
  • Assist with event setup and breakdown logistics.
  • Collect and transport recyclable materials to designated facilities.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on leased vehicles and warehouse equipment.
  • Manage the logistics of leased vehicles for service and repairs.
  • Conduct refueling and cleaning of vehicles supporting warehouse operations.
  • Execute office and building relocations as required.
  • Fulfill additional warehouse duties as assigned by the U.S. Government.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: One year of relevant experience may substitute for one year of education, if a degree is required.
    • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of four years of relevant work experience is required.
  • Certifications:
    • Valid U.S. Driver's license is essential.
    • Commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred; CDL-A endorsement is desired.
    • Certification to operate a forklift (minimum 3K) is preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency with mobile scanning devices.
    • Familiarity with Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS).
    • Knowledge of Financial Accounting and Corporate Tracking System (FACTS).
  • Work Environment:
    • U.S. citizenship is a requirement.
    • Ability to work in sensitive operational environments.
    • Work may be performed indoors and outdoors, in confined spaces, and may require irregular hours.
    • Must be able to operate standard office equipment.
    • Experience in operating various warehouse vehicles and equipment is necessary.
    • Ability to function in both office and warehouse settings for extended periods.
