Job Summary

Closet America is seeking a highly skilled Production Control Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth preparation and release of jobs for manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare jobs for manufacturing by interpreting CAD layout drawings, utilizing CAM software to optimize sheet formats, determining job routing, and developing manufacturing sequence sheets.
  • Coordinate the creation of sheet stacks, including color sequencing, for use by routers and saws.
  • Update and transfer engineering files correctly and update production preparation tasks on our business system.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide resolution to optimization questions that arise in real-time during machining and general shop operations.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing staff and product development teams to add items to our system.
  • Communicate with internal staff to coordinate optimization and production of services.
Requirements
  • High school diploma and 4 years' relevant experience; any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CAD-related programs.
  • Strong leadership, goal-oriented, and resource management skills.
  • Ability to work accurately, be organized, and solve problems effectively.
  • Professionalism and ability to provide guidance and feedback to others.
