Compelling Opportunity for Cybersecurity Visionary

We are seeking an experienced Chief Information Security Strategist to spearhead the development and execution of our comprehensive cybersecurity strategy. Reporting directly to the C-suite, you will be responsible for driving our organization's cyber security posture, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and leading cross-functional teams to foster a culture of security awareness.

Our North American division represents half of the Company's international store estate, featuring unique specialty retail concepts that showcase local culture, community, and lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and maintain IT security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure dissemination and adherence to security policies across the organization.
  • Lead project teams to deliver company strategy and purpose through clear blueprints and roadmaps.
  • Contribute to shaping the overall IT strategy.
  • Oversee the security of assets and databases.
  • Direct the day-to-day operation of the Information Security team, serving as a liaison between executives and officers.
  • Identify security issues or concerns throughout the organization and provide integrative solutions to create a safer environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of security-related activities, prepare reports, and assist in generating metrics to measure the effectiveness of information security measures.
  • Stay abreast of evolving security threats & vulnerabilities, providing recommendations for maintaining compliance.
  • Deploy, integrate, and configure new security solutions in accordance with standard best operating procedures.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in IT leadership/supervisory roles, preferably within retail environments.
  • Previous experience working within point-of-sale systems.
  • Proven track record in IT security, risk management, and policy development.
  • Experience with security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, etc.
  • Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
