Position: UC, AV & Collaboration Engineer

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in UC, Cisco Management Systems, Cisco Codec, and other CMS technologies, including VSU/Gatekeeper for Collaboration Engineers.

Security Clearance: Top Secret

IA Certification Level: IAT/M Level II (Security+)

Computing Environment Certifications: Required

Job Overview:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Possession of a Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • Mandatory IAT/M Level II - Security Plus certification prior to employment.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in UC, Cisco Management Systems, Cisco Codec, and related CMS technologies, along with VSU/Gatekeeper expertise.
  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on AV/VI/UC topics, providing insights on emerging technologies and overseeing conference room integrations.
  • Contribute significantly to the AV/VI/UC program, overseeing the adoption of new technologies.
  • Serve as the SME for AV, VI, and UC systems and equipment.
  • Expertise in AV, VI, and UC equipment integration, operation, and compatibility.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting techniques and procedures for AV, VI, and UC systems.
  • Extensive knowledge in all aspects of AV, VI, and UC systems, from design to complex troubleshooting.
  • Capability to repair, replace, modify, and resolve deficiencies in AV, VI, and UC equipment.
  • Experience with Digital Display systems, such as JANUS displays, for information dissemination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate both short and long-term IT strategies by identifying technology solutions and refresh opportunities.
  • Develop and manage a Lifecycle Management Plan.
  • Implement agile methodologies for all changes and initiatives.
  • Coordinate implementation schedules with relevant parties.
  • Submit Requests for Change (RFCs) as per Change Management Policies.
  • Provide acceptance criteria and testing summaries for equipment.
  • Conduct user acceptance, performance, accessibility, security, and system testing.
  • Prepare documentation and records for release updates.
  • Collaborate with local divisions to address known issues during development/testing.
  • Define comprehensive release plans detailing rollout, support, and responsibilities.
  • Deploy approved changes and enhancements to systems.
  • Offer resource support for system installation and performance.
  • Analyze and report network-related issues.
  • Ensure future solutions meet compatibility and interoperability standards.
  • Provide technical support, including assessments and documentation.
  • Evaluate the impact of proposed changes on systems and personnel.
  • Document benchmarks and test results, providing implementation guidance.
  • Conduct performance analysis and ensure thorough documentation.
  • Research emerging technologies and submit findings for review.
  • Utilize automated systems for project testing and approval.
  • Develop comprehensive test reports detailing testing scope and results.
  • Perform quality assurance planning and testing prior to product delivery.
  • Manage AV/VI/UC support services across multiple locations.
  • Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting for AV/VI/UC systems.
  • Administer UC devices in accordance with vendor guidelines.
  • Install and maintain AV/VI/UC equipment, ensuring operational integrity.
  • Provide immediate maintenance support for critical rooms.
  • Maintain an inventory of components and equipment for non-critical rooms.
  • Document all maintenance actions and maintain a comprehensive database.
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance and ensure system functionality.
  • Submit weekly maintenance reports to management.
  • Develop lifecycle replacement plans for audio/video equipment.
