Job Title: Front Desk Agent/Bartender

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Agent/Bartender to join our team at Azul Hospitality. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, handling guest inquiries, and ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, providing a warm and friendly welcome.
  • Execute the registration and checkout process at the front desk, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Accept payment for guest accounts, maintain a house bank, and make deposits and reports as needed.
  • Handle cash transactions, balance cash drawers, and maintain a high level of cash handling accuracy.
  • Acknowledge rewards members and returning guests, providing personalized service and recognition.
  • Take and manage guest bookings, up-selling opportunities, and inform guests about ways to enhance their stay.
  • Review daily arrival reports, check special request reservations, and ensure accurate billing and deposits.
  • Attend all scheduled training, departmental, and hotel meetings, staying up-to-date on company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure awareness of special promotions, daily activities, VIPs, group/conferences, and scheduled shuttles.
  • Practice safe work habits, follow company protocols, and maintain a clean and organized lobby area.
  • Answer all calls promptly, transfer calls to appropriate departments, and confer with other departments to ensure coordination of guest needs.
  • Log guest requests and room defects in the appropriate system, follow up with guests, and ensure resolution to their satisfaction.
  • Answer inquiries about hotel policies, services, registration, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
  • Maintain an extensive knowledge of the hotel, its services, and facilities, as well as the local area and its attractions.
  • Assist with booking reservations, handling mail, packages, facsimiles, and guest items, and perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High school or equivalent education required.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry preferred, with a focus on front desk or customer service roles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, Key system, and POS.
  • Self-driven and able to work independently, with a strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

Working Conditions:

This role requires standing and exerting well-paced mobility for up to four hours, with the ability to lift up to 45 pounds and push/pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 pounds. The individual must be able to grasp, write, stand, sit, walk, and perform repetitive motions, as well as bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks occasionally.
