Job Description

At Joule Energy, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Manager to oversee all aspects of our human resources function. This includes creating, updating, and enforcing policies and procedures, as well as guiding company leaders in personnel planning and management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants.
  • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Administer and oversee company benefits programs and policies, including health benefits, compensation, and position changes.
  • Promote company initiatives, including company-wide meetings and quarterly/annual planning sessions.
  • Promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Serve as a general advisor on employment law and government regulations.
  • Create learning and development programs and initiatives to provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Experience with HR software.
  • 4-year degree in a business area or related field.
  • Prefer a HR certification (SHRM, PHR, or comparable).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of HR programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage several projects concurrently.
  • Proven ability to recruit, attract, and maintain talent.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Benefits:

  • 80 hours paid vacation (after 90 days of employment).
  • Unlimited unpaid personal leave (eligible immediately).
  • 8 hours paid volunteering per quarter (eligible immediately).
  • Insurance starts on the first of the month after 60 days of employment.
