Position Overview

Title: Cloud Security Subject Matter Expert

Location: On-site

Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week) with benefits.

Security Clearance: TS/SCI with FS Polygraph.

Experience Requirements:

  • 2 Years with a PhD
  • 4 Years with a Master's degree
  • 6 Years with a Bachelor's degree
  • 9 Years with an Associate's degree
  • 10 Years with a High School diploma

Role Description:

The ideal candidate will collaborate with the program security team to ensure comprehensive security measures are in place. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert-level insight and execution within the Risk Management Framework to support systems through the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process.
  • Creating detailed security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs) and Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms), to facilitate the Body of Evidence (BOE) for approval.
  • Identifying security controls and partnering with engineering and development teams to establish effective testing protocols.
  • Conducting security audit reviews to ensure proper collection and analysis of audit records.
  • Coordinating security testing activities with external assessment teams and technical personnel.
  • Configuring and managing various AWS services to enhance the security posture of the systems.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proven technical expertise and analytical skills, with experience in system security analysis and risk management.
  • Experience in security within the Amazon Web Services environment.
  • Ability to perform complex technical tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Capability to translate systems and applications understanding into security testing plans and execute hands-on testing.
  • Knowledge of risk management methodologies.
  • Experience in analyzing test outcomes and recommending solutions for security vulnerabilities.
  • Technical background in system configuration, development, and design, particularly in enterprise systems and hypervisors.
  • Familiarity with Linux and virtual platforms.
  • Documented experience with public and private information security organizations.
  • Ability to communicate vulnerability findings and risk assessments to senior management.

Possess a comprehensive understanding of Information Security policies and guidance, along with the capability to assist in researching, evaluating, and developing relevant security policies.
