Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the CDE-R development team to enhance semantic capabilities that enable CDE discovery by topic, disease area, or domain.

Potential Features Include:

Automated or semi-automated assignment of concepts from standard terminology systems, such as MeSH or UMLS, to CDEs. Educating contributors on the use of metadata, terminologies, and information models within the CDE-R context. Ensuring that CDE-R policies, procedures, and functionalities align with user and stakeholder needs, particularly those of the NIH CDE Governance Committee. Creating new content or updating existing materials, including medical editing and copy editing for content in NLM biomedical information resources and services.

Ensure all new content is accurate through a structured internal and external review process, incorporating user feedback. Provide subject matter expertise in cataloging and metadata management. Develop and maintain NLM standards (including health data standards) and terminology tools and services.


Support indexing activities (e.g., utilizing MeSH vocabulary terms by a subject matter expert or automated tools), and write abstracts/annotations for newsletters, technical reports, assessments, guidelines, books, journal articles, webinars, videos, podcasts, or other literature for inclusion in NLM biomedical information resources and services.

Align CDEs with existing standards and terminologies, such as USCDI, LOINC, SNOMED CT, FHIR, etc.; monitor updates to standards to ensure that changes to terminology, value sets, and other standards are reflected in Repository content.


Qualifications:

Minimum Education:
PhD, MD, DO, or DVM degree. An MS degree with four (4) additional years of relevant experience may be considered.

Minimum General Experience:
Ten (10) years of relevant experience, providing expertise in specialized knowledge domains.

Preferred Qualifications:
Twelve (12) years of experience. The annual salary range for this position is $183,200.00-$274,800.00.

Compensation decisions are influenced by various factors, including skill sets, experience, training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
