Position Overview

HousingPlus, Inc. is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and dedicated Program Supervisor to lead and oversee the execution and effectiveness of our scattered site permanent supportive housing initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a background in working with families and individuals facing significant challenges, including mental health issues, substance use disorders, and interactions with the criminal justice system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the housing program.
  • Ensure adherence to HousingPlus and funding agency guidelines and reporting obligations.
  • Collaborate with the Program Director to maintain a high occupancy rate, aiming for 90% or above, by actively monitoring vacancies and conducting recruitment and eligibility assessments.
  • Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes in partnership with the Program Director and HR Manager.
  • Contribute to the development of program manuals, policies, and procedures in alignment with funder requirements and HousingPlus standards.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to identify the needs of the program and its participants.
  • Plan and coordinate service delivery to meet the goals and outcomes of the program, organization, and individuals served.
  • In the absence of case managers, perform intakes, assessments, and provide necessary case management and support services.
  • Offer supervision, support, and guidance to team members.
  • Hold regular supervision meetings with direct reports to provide feedback and address performance issues.
  • Review and authorize timesheets, vacation requests, and other supervisory tasks.
  • Facilitate team meetings with direct reports.
  • Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution as required.
  • Ensure the delivery of services aligns with contractual obligations and participant outcomes.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports and updates as mandated.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on data and tenant records to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Organize and participate in departmental meetings and other relevant gatherings.
  • Collaborate with property management to ensure housing units meet maintenance standards and pass inspections.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with property management, community service providers, and local agencies.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or a related field, with at least three years of supervisory experience in supportive housing or social services; or a Bachelor's Degree in Health and/or Social Services with a minimum of five years of relevant supervisory experience.
  • Experience working with families facing homelessness, mental health challenges, substance abuse, and criminal justice issues.
  • Strong writing and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Proven problem-solving and planning skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain meaningful relationships.
  • Capacity to coordinate services to meet the ongoing needs of clients.
  • High energy, goal-oriented, and capable of motivating others.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic case management systems.
  • Familiarity with AWARDS (Foothold Technology) is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Background check required.
  • Availability for evening and weekend shifts on a rotating basis for emergency on-call duties.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Other related responsibilities as assigned.

  • Salary Range: $68,000 - $72,000
