Job Overview

HousingPlus, Inc. is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and skilled Program Supervisor to oversee and enhance the delivery of our scattered site permanent supportive housing initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the housing program.
  • Ensure adherence to HousingPlus and funding agency guidelines and reporting obligations.
  • Collaborate with the Program Director to maintain a high occupancy rate of 90% or more by actively monitoring vacancies, conducting recruitment activities, and facilitating eligibility assessments.
  • Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes in partnership with the Program Director and HR Manager.
  • Contribute to the development of program manuals, policies, and procedures in line with funder requirements and HousingPlus standards.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to identify the needs of the program and its participants.
  • Plan and coordinate service delivery to meet the goals and outcomes of the program, organization, and individuals served.
  • In the absence of case managers, perform intakes, assessments, and provide necessary case management and support services.
  • Offer supervision, support, and guidance to team members.
  • Facilitate regular supervision meetings with staff, providing performance feedback and addressing any performance-related issues.
  • Review and authorize timesheets, vacation requests, and other supervisory tasks.
  • Organize and lead team meetings with direct reports.
  • Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed.
  • Ensure the delivery of services aligns with contractual obligations and desired outcomes.
  • Prepare and submit required weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews of data and tenant records to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate and participate in staff and departmental meetings as necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with Program Directors and other staff to facilitate participant activities and events.
  • Engage with property management to ensure housing units meet maintenance standards and pass inspections.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with property management, community service organizations, law enforcement, and emergency services.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or a related field, with at least three years of supervisory experience in supportive housing or social services; or a Bachelor's Degree in Health or Social Services with a minimum of five years of relevant supervisory experience.
  • Experience working with families facing homelessness, mental health challenges, substance abuse, and criminal justice issues.
  • Exceptional writing and documentation abilities.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proven problem-solving, planning, and organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships.
  • Skilled in coordinating services to meet the ongoing needs of clients.
  • High energy, goal-oriented, and capable of motivating others.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic case management systems.
  • Experience with AWARDS (Foothold Technology) is highly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Background check required.
  • Availability for evening and weekend shifts on a rotating basis for emergency on-call duties.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
