Job Overview

HousingPlus, Inc. is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and skilled Program Supervisor to oversee and enhance the delivery of our scattered site permanent supportive housing initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in working with families and individuals facing significant challenges, including mental health issues, substance dependency, and involvement with the criminal justice system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the housing program.
  • Ensure adherence to HousingPlus and funding agency guidelines and reporting standards.
  • Collaborate with the Program Director to maintain a high occupancy rate across all housing initiatives by monitoring vacancies, conducting recruitment efforts, and following up on placements.
  • Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes alongside the Program Director and HR Manager.
  • Contribute to the development of program manuals, policies, and procedures in alignment with funder requirements.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments to identify the needs of the program and its participants.
  • Plan and coordinate service delivery to meet program, organizational, and individual objectives.
  • In the absence of case managers, perform intakes, assessments, and provide necessary case management support.
  • Offer supervision, guidance, and support to team members.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and address any employee performance concerns.
  • Review and authorize timesheets, vacation requests, and other supervisory tasks.
  • Facilitate team meetings with direct reports.
  • Provide crisis intervention and conflict resolution as needed.
  • Ensure service delivery aligns with contractual obligations and desired outcomes.
  • Prepare and submit required weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks on data and tenant records to comply with regulatory standards.
  • Organize and participate in staff and departmental meetings as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other HousingPlus staff to coordinate participant activities and events.
  • Work with property management to ensure apartments meet maintenance standards.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with community service providers and local agencies.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or a related field, with at least three years of supervisory experience in supportive housing or social services; or a BA/B.S.W. in Health and/or Social Services with a minimum of five years of supervisory experience in human services.
  • Experience working with families facing homelessness, mental health challenges, substance abuse, and criminal justice issues.
  • Strong writing and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Proven problem-solving and planning skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships.
  • Capability to coordinate services effectively to meet ongoing needs.
  • High energy, goal-oriented, and capable of inspiring others.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic case management systems.
  • Familiarity with AWARDS (Foothold Technology) is preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Background check required.
  • Availability for evening and weekend shifts on a rotating basis for emergency support.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
