Key Responsibilities:
- Adheres to the opening and closing procedures for all food service areas as outlined by the Executive Chef. Ensures that a functional digital thermometer is available at each cooking station.
- Assists in ensuring that all kitchen equipment throughout the facility is maintained in proper working condition.
- Supervises the assembly of all menu items in accordance with their preparation guidelines.
- Supports the Executive Chef with inventory deliveries, ensuring all products are stored correctly, applying first-in, first-out (FIFO) inventory practices when necessary.
- Demonstrates the ability to follow instructions accurately and consistently. Complies with all Legends and HAACP food safety protocols and procedures.
- Formal culinary training or relevant experience in a high-volume dining or catering environment is preferred.
- Ability to ensure adherence to company service and inventory standards.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Proficient in reading, speaking, and writing English to effectively communicate with staff and guests.
- Willingness to work all venue events and maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate service demands, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work in an open-air environment under varying climate conditions.
- Dependability and punctuality are essential.
- Must uphold personal hygiene and a professional appearance in line with company standards.
- Physical capability to perform assigned tasks, including prolonged standing, reaching, bending, and lifting items weighing 10-30 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Basic understanding of food and beverage preparation, service standards, and guest relations is preferred.
- Ability to effectively listen and respond to management directives.
- Capability to thrive under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Must meet local health regulations for food handlers.
Preferred: SERVSafe and City of Philadelphia Food Safety Personnel Certificate.
Encourage your team to adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including identifying and reporting unsafe work conditions, and completing company-wide safety training along with any additional job-specific safety training.
Report all safety incidents (injuries and illnesses) to the company's risk management system on the same day they occur.
