Job Overview

EHC is currently seeking a Valve Maintenance Specialist to support our client operations.

Position Summary:

  • Conduct repairs on various types of valves including ball, gate, globe, check, and butterfly valves, as well as actuators at client sites.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, inspections, and testing of valves at designated work locations.
  • Engage in pre-testing, disassembly, cleaning, in-process inspections, lapping, painting, assembly, testing, and final inspections on diverse valve types and actuation systems.
  • Document field service activities and report to the job coordinator upon completion.
  • Possess knowledge of pneumatic and digital control systems.
  • Utilize appropriate valve manuals for repair specifications.
  • Effectively communicate with plant personnel regarding valve and instrumentation equipment and customer needs.
  • Complete all required site-specific and safety training to perform valve repair tasks.
  • Maintain eligibility for driving and ensure regular maintenance of company vehicles.
  • Provide assistance to colleagues as needed.
  • Job responsibilities may evolve as directed by management.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED is required; a 2-year Associate Degree in a mechanical discipline is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in valve production or repair is necessary.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
  • Readiness to assist in other departmental areas as required.
  • Experience interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams is advantageous.
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, clean rooms).
