POSITION: SENIOR ENGINEER
Key Responsibilities:
This role is designed for a highly skilled and experienced valve engineer. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of valve applications and designs, ranging from standard solutions to custom-engineered products. Emphasis will be placed on delivering quick turnaround times and sound designs that adhere to industry standards while meeting customer specifications.
Primary Duties:
- Collaborate with the organization to design, create Bill of Materials (BOMs), and develop drawings that align with customer needs.
- Engage in the innovation of new products and technologies, alongside the continuous enhancement of existing offerings.
- Formulate and implement testing protocols to validate the functionality and features of new products.
- Appropriately size and apply severe service control valve trims to manage noise and prevent cavitation.
- Assist in control valve application engineering.
- Provide accurate assessments on non-conforming valves and swiftly implement corrective measures.
- Work with Manufacturing and Sales teams on Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Value Engineering initiatives.
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, sales, quality, and finance to address customer concerns.
- Ensure product safety through comprehensive design reviews.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects.
- Support the quality assurance program by documenting customer issues and collaborating with the team to execute corrective actions.
- Participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, and codes, ensuring commitments are established, reviewed, and fulfilled.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers.
Qualifications:
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across various functional areas.
· Proficient in analytical engineering techniques such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
· Familiarity with ASME, ANSI, ISA, and other relevant control valve standards.
· Experience with ERP and Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
· Skilled in CAD software and SolidWorks.
· Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
· At least 5 years of experience in a valve engineering capacity.
