We are currently seeking an Equipment Maintenance Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overhaul pumps and gearboxes, ensuring the replacement of seals, bearings, housings, and impellers while adhering to precise tolerances.
  • Conduct pipefitting tasks as necessary.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on instrumentation and related equipment.
  • Provide electrical expertise for construction repairs, wiring, and maintenance of the facility's electrical systems, including equipment and lighting.
  • Install, maintain, and repair all machinery and equipment within the facility.
  • Repair control valves and instrumentation systems.
  • Oversee the maintenance of a 400 HP boiler.
  • Manage the upkeep of air compressors and company vehicles.
  • Ensure the maintenance of forklifts.
  • Clean and apply appropriate coatings to equipment.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive files for all systems, including spare parts inventory.
  • Collaborate with the Purchasing Department to requisition necessary materials and spare parts.
  • Work alongside contractors as required.
  • Provide regular maintenance reports to management.
  • Conduct routine daily and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
  • Maintain awareness of food safety and regulatory responsibilities, reporting any potential issues to authorized personnel.
  • Adhere to the company's core values and follow all safety, GMP, and quality policies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience.
  • Possession of a TWIC Card.
  • Ability to wear respiratory protection as needed.
  • Capability to access process and raw material unloading areas, which may involve climbing stairs or ladders.
  • Normal dexterity for computer data entry and occasional use of hand tools for equipment adjustments or repairs.
  • Physical ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds constantly.
  • Visual acuity to assess the accuracy and thoroughness of work or to inspect facilities.

A valid driver's license and current state-required minimum vehicle insurance coverage are necessary for driving onto company property.

Education: High school diploma or GED is required.

Compensation: The pay range for this position is competitive and based on relevant experience and skills.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shifts.

Employment Type: Temporary to Permanent.
