Job Overview

Aegis Worldwide is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for leading and directing production associates in their assigned areas on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Coaching
    • Coach, mentor, and inspire associates to achieve their full potential and contribute to the company's success.
    • Develop and implement effective training programs to ensure associates have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their job duties.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Ensure a safe and clean work environment at all times, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
    • Conduct daily 6-S audits in assigned areas and implement corrective actions to resolve any issues found.
    • Utilize kanban and customer forecasts to perform daily production scheduling and ensure schedule attainment.
  • Quality and Continuous Improvement
    • Assure all new quality or process changes are communicated to production and implemented effectively.
    • Review OEE information on a daily basis and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.
    • Lead and direct production associates in their assigned areas to achieve quality and productivity goals.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Provide thorough and clear communication to supervisors, technical services, and other stakeholders regarding production issues and concerns.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production-related issues and improve overall efficiency.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
    • 1-3 years' automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
    • 1-2 years' prior leadership role in a manufacturing environment and/or technical experience preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Demonstrated basic mechanical aptitude (mechanical, hydraulics, electrical, and pneumatics) preferred.
    • Ability to effectively train others and communicate complex information.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
