Hospice RN On Call

At Interim HealthCare Hospice, we're committed to providing compassionate and high-quality care to patients and their families. As a PRN Weekend Hospice RN, you'll play a vital role in delivering comfort and support to those in need.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide on-call hospice patient care after-hours and weekends, ensuring seamless support for our patients.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to carry out patient care plans, including physicians, LPNs, CNAs, HHAs, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers.
- Perform patient assessments, check vital signs, evaluate breathing, monitor pain, administer prescribed medication, and provide treatments as needed.
- Ensure accessibility of medical equipment, prescribed oxygen, medication, and other supplies to support patient care.
- Educate families on patient prognosis, changes in care plans, medication, and hospice goals, promoting a holistic approach to care.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- CPR certification
- Valid car insurance
- Prior hospice experience of 3+ years
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of hospice nursing care
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
