Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Paralegal to join our dynamic team at Sabio Systems. As a Paralegal, you will play a critical role in supporting our legal team with a wide range of tasks, from drafting and refining legal documents to organizing and maintaining files.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and Refine Legal Documents: Utilize your exceptional writing skills to draft and refine discovery documents, pleadings, and other legal materials.
  • File Organization and Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date files, ensuring that all relevant documents are properly organized and easily accessible.
  • Proofreading and Editing: Review and edit documents for content accuracy, format, grammar, and punctuation, ensuring that all materials are error-free and professional.
  • Case Research and Summarization: Conduct thorough research to support ongoing cases, summarizing and indexing case documents for quick reference.
  • Case Calendar Management: Manage case calendars to ensure deadlines are met, and all necessary tasks are completed on time.
  • Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients and other contacts, both verbally and in writing, providing clear and concise information and updates.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct factual research to support ongoing cases, analyzing data and information to inform legal decisions.
  • Trial Preparation: Assist in trial preparation, including compiling notebooks and exhibits, ensuring that all necessary materials are prepared and organized.

Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 4 years of litigation experience, with a strong background in requesting medical records and preparing detailed medical summaries.
  • Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration, and a solid understanding of legal terminology and New Mexico court rules and procedures.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with familiarity with Document Management Software a plus.
