Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contract Administrator to join our team at Summit Electric Supply. The successful candidate will work closely with our contracts administration team to manage and maintain our contracts with customers, vendors, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform initial review of contracts with customers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Create and maintain a database to track and manage executed contracts.
  • Draft contract abstracts for use by sales, risk management, and procurement staff.
  • Coordinate with legal staff, other company staff, and outside parties to process final approved contracts for execution.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Highly organized and focused on workflow with ability to handle a high volume of detailed work.
  • Willing and able to understand and analyze significant business and legal concepts included in contract documents.
  • Capable of working with deadline pressures and exercising initiative to work productively with general supervision and direction.
  • Able to work effectively with others, including executives, service center leadership, associate services, procurement, and finance departments.
  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience with administrative and organizational ability required.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience with company systems, workflow, and sales processes.
  • Experience creating, configuring, accessing, and managing databases.
  • Prior experience in the legal field or with legal concepts, such as experience as a contract specialist, legal assistant, or paralegal.
  • Knowledge of commercial insurance coverages.
  • Prior wholesale or distribution sales or commercial experience.
