KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member of our legal team, you will advocate for clients who have suffered injuries, guiding them through every phase of their cases, from initial intake to final disbursement. Your role will involve resolving matters through negotiation, litigation, and trial processes.

You will focus on legal work, supported by a dedicated team that includes intake specialists, investigators, pre-litigation case managers, and paralegals. Collaboration with fellow attorneys will enhance your ability to deliver effective legal representation.

Attention to detail and organizational skills are crucial, along with the ability to engage with clients, adjusters, and legal professionals both over the phone and in person.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be licensed in New Mexico or eligible for licensure through reciprocity or UBE score
  • Preferred: 3+ years of experience in personal injury litigation (plaintiff or defense)
  • Willingness to relocate if necessary
  • Availability for in-office work Monday through Friday, with flexibility for caseload demands

EXPECTED OUTCOMES

  • Maintain office hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, unless attending meetings or court appearances
  • Conduct weekly reviews of case progress with the lead attorney
  • Achieve resolutions that reflect the Full Settlement Value (95% target)
  • Secure full attorney fees in 95% of cases
  • Convert 90% of potential clients into active cases
  • Receive positive feedback from clients (95% target)
  • Generate $1.2 million in attorney fees annually

CORE DUTIES

Client Intake

  • Demonstrate empathy and understanding
  • Document all relevant facts regarding liability and damages
  • Establish case strategy by outlining action items for both the client and the firm

Investigation

  • Direct investigative efforts to build a strong case for trial, including assessing insurance coverage

Negotiation

  • Prepare cases for trial
  • Assess Full Settlement Value and obtain necessary authorizations
  • Engage in negotiations with adjusters while keeping clients informed
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with adjusters for effective negotiations
  • File lawsuits when necessary and prepare clients for litigation

LITIGATION

  • Draft pleadings and discovery documents for lawsuits
  • Prepare cases for trial, arbitration, or mediation
