Position Summary

The Sales Support Specialist for Terumo Interventional Systems (TIS) is tasked with providing sales assistance and promoting TIS products to Interventional Radiologists, Interventional Cardiologists, Vascular Surgeons, and Purchasing/Materials Management within a designated market area. This role operates under the guidance of a Region Manager and benefits from the mentorship of experienced Territory Managers, with the goal of meeting and exceeding assigned sales revenue targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Engage with existing and prospective clients to promote and sell TIS products, ensuring achievement of designated sales targets.
  2. Support the execution of sales strategies aimed at identifying customer needs, addressing objections, and securing commitments.
  3. Deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations to educate clients on the effective use of TIS products.
  4. Maintain in-depth knowledge of Terumo's product offerings and competitive landscape to effectively communicate product features and benefits.
  5. Conduct product evaluations and support clinical cases, providing education on proper product utilization.
  6. Monitor competitive activities within the territory and relay market intelligence to management promptly.
  7. Foster strong relationships with customers through regular communication and personal visits.
  8. Collaborate with various departments, including Customer Administration, Logistics, and Technical Support, to ensure customer satisfaction.
  9. Prepare and submit reports on sales activities, competitive products, and market trends in a timely manner.
  10. Participate in industry trade shows and conventions to promote TIS products.
  11. Commit to maintaining high standards of patient safety and product quality, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.
Working Conditions

  1. This role requires frequent travel to customer locations, necessitating the use of a personal vehicle.
  2. Overnight travel may be required, depending on the assigned territory.
  3. Regular access to hospitals and medical facilities is essential, with compliance to vendor credentialing policies.
  4. Ability to work in clinical environments, including IR suites and operating rooms, is necessary.
Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or medical device sales, preferably in the cardiovascular sector; or 4 years of business-to-business sales experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated success in sales performance is required.
  • A valid driver's license and personal vehicle with active insurance are mandatory.
