About the Opportunity

Vail Health Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless patient access to our services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Registration and Admissions: Responsible for registering patients, collecting necessary information, and validating patient data to ensure accurate and timely registration.
  2. Insurance and Billing: Verifies patient insurance coverage, collects co-payments, and ensures accurate billing and reimbursement processes.
  3. Administrative Support: Provides administrative support, including scheduling, answering phones, and coordinating general requests.
  4. Communication and Customer Service: Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure excellent customer service and resolve any issues or concerns.
  5. Documentation and Compliance: Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, and adheres to HIPAA and Joint Commission standards.
  6. Team Collaboration: Works collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and efficient operations.
Requirements
  • Customer Service and Clerical Experience: Proven experience in customer service and clerical roles, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in computer systems, including electronic medical records and billing software.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English, with excellent reading, writing, and speaking skills.
