Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team in the Griswold Lab at the School of Molecular Biosciences. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their own research project and contribute to ongoing laboratory projects investigating the role of vitamin A in testicular function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, conduct, and troubleshoot experiments in the lab to investigate the synthesis of a retinoic acid pulse.
  • Present research findings through poster/oral presentations and peer-reviewed publications.
  • Supervise undergraduate/graduate students in the lab and coordinate daily lab operations.
  • Oversee quality control and make suggestions for improvement in techniques and interpretation.
  • Collaborate with the lab team to achieve research goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Genetics, Physiology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related field.
  • Experience with histological and microscopy techniques.
  • Experience in bioinformatics and gene expression profiling.
  • Excellent computer skills, especially with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and EndNote.
  • The ability to problem-solve and learn new experimental techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic knowledge of mammalian reproduction, especially male.
