Job Title: Research Associate - Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to serve as Project Manager for a new multi-institutional collaborative project. The successful candidate will have a PhD in a biological science, chemistry or related field, and at least two years of post-doctoral research experience in a field related to the project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate collaborative efforts between laboratories, particularly between institutions, that are part of the project team.
  • Work with Dr. Gang to coordinate field trial efforts within WA state and with participating farmers in the Northeastern US and the Pacific Northwest.
  • Perform metabolite analyses on samples generated from the project efforts.
  • Oversee research supplies and expenditure, report and publication formatting, web page design and implementation.
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. in a biological science, chemistry or related field.
  • At least two years of post-doctoral research experience in a field related to the project.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with an ability to work in teams and mentor junior scientists.
  • Experience in managing a research project.
