This role involves guiding Store Managers and their teams to attain exceptional outcomes by fostering an inspiring, accountable, and rewarding atmosphere.Strong follow-up abilities, the capacity to drive effective performance through accountability, and leading with urgency are essential for success in this position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Performance:
Through regular visits to stores, mentor, instruct, and guide Store Managers in the strategizing, development, and execution of sales initiatives to ensure the realization of sales, margin, and profitability goals.
Our principle is to "drive increased sales profitably." Delivering robust financial results for the region that meet and exceed planned expectations is crucial.
Providing a superior shopping experience for our customers, which includes excellent service and a well-maintained store environment, is paramount.
Ensure labor outcomes align with expectations. Oversee and ensure compliance with security and loss prevention policies and audit procedures while implementing related programs. Manage adherence to all safety policies and protocols. Direct the annual inventory process and maintain suitable inventory levels to minimize loss while driving sales and profitability. 25%Customer Service and a
Exceptional Shopping Experience:
Lead all teams to deliver outstanding customer service.
Ensure customer service initiatives are executed and followed to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Understand the customer demographics of each store within the region. Implement all marketing, merchandising, and operational programs to boost sales and profits across all regional stores.Ensure all stores meet operational standards, including but not limited to inventory levels, recovery processes, store safety, and maintenance, as well as price change notifications.
Develop methods to enhance efficiencies by achieving high performance levels. Consistent and superior store conditions. 25%Team Development and Performance:
Provide leadership and development opportunities for Store Managers and their teams by communicating career pathways, offering regular performance feedback, conducting annual evaluations of managers, and ensuring the completion of required training.
Cultivate and maintain positive business relationships with all team members. Coach, develop, motivate, and reward Store Managers and their teams as appropriate to maximize sales and profitability. Instill a sense of urgency throughout the operations. Recruit, network, interview, hire, train, evaluate, coach/counsel, and resolve conflicts and complaints. Focus on retention and promotion of team members who demonstrate strong personal leadership and a results-driven mindset. 25%Professional Leadership:
Embrace possibilities and pursue continuous improvement. Maintain a keen eye for detail that reflects how each store is presented daily. Build and sustain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and other JOANN Team Members. Act as a protector and ambassador for the JOANN brand. WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Extensive travel, including driving, typically exceeding 70% of the time. A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required.
SKILLS / COMPETENCIES
Proficient in computer usage, including: MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), POS, and Inventory Management Systems.
Exhibit a "customer-first" service mentality.
Possess strong interpersonal skills and effective written and verbal communication abilities.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Minimum Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education: 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Experience:
8+ years in a directorial role; multi-store retail experience.
