Job Summary

R1 RCM Inc. is seeking a skilled Regional Coding Manager to oversee the coding operations of 1 to 3 hospitals/hospital systems. The ideal candidate will have a coding certification and management experience, with a strong focus on leadership and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Manage teams of site managers and remote medical coding associates to deliver timely and accurately coded cases to hospitals for billing.

Collect, complete, maintain, and report coding metrics, as well as manage goals, objectives, strategic plans, and policies and procedures for regional hospitals/hospital systems.

Hold site managers accountable for team performance, productivity, and quality targets, and maintain district accountability for region-wide cost, DNFB performance, and QA targets.

Execute standard daily and weekly coding performance reviews to meet key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify and track key barriers and process defects.

Requirements

Coding certification (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC)

3 years of healthcare management leadership experience

3 years of coding experience

Strong leadership and management skills, with experience analyzing large quantities of operational data
