We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Inspection Specialist to join our team at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting nuclear inspections, dimensional measurements, and nondestructive testing to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our nation's submarine and aircraft carrier Fleets.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct nuclear inspections, dimensional measurements, and nondestructive testing to ensure compliance with applicable standards
- Perform work surveillance and audits to ensure material control, cleanliness control, and manufacturing and assembly processes comply with applicable standards
- Qualify as a Radiological Contamination Worker and maintain qualification
- Hold or have previously held NDT level II certifications in one or more in VT, PT, MT, HLT
- Adequate visual acuity including color vision discernment required
- U.S. citizenship required
- Must be able to pass a Federal background investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter
- Must be able to pass a drug test in compliance with FMP company policy and 10 CFR 707
- ASNT Non-destructive testing (NDT) qualification
- Experience with Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program
