Nuclear Propulsion Specialist

At the Naval Nuclear Laboratory, we are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Worker Technician to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to nuclear material handling, equipment operation, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:- Handle and transfer nuclear materials, including dismantling, examining, and testing.
- Operate and maintain equipment required for nuclear component receipt, discharge, loading, examination, testing, dismantling, or refurbishment.
- Prepare and ship casks containing nuclear materials.
- Install and remove equipment, components, and waste to support nuclear product line activities.
- Two years of post-high school education from an accredited college or vocational school, or equivalent relevant training.
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years of relevant experience in a mechanical field or nuclear material handling.
- 2 years of NNPP experience.
- Professional experience in equipment operation and maintenance.
- Education and/or experience in a mechanical field.
- Education and/or experience in nuclear material handling.
- Experience in the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.
