Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Site Mechanical Systems Engineering group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining various mechanical systems, including HVAC, Sanitary Sewer, Domestic Water, Deionized Water, and Boiler Systems at the Naval Reactors Facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical support for onsite mechanical systems and develop maintenance procedures.
- Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, and peers.
- Promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Provide effective project management and accountability of engineering schedules.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 4 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 2 years of relevant experience; or Currently or previously NPE qualified; or CTE/ACRS and 1 year EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; or Watch Instructor and Refueling Facility Area Refueling Engineer and 1 year as SRE.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems (e.g. pumps, motors, HVAC).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must have demonstrated ability to recognize and solve technical problems to ensure plant success.
- Knowledgeable of Building Codes and Standards.
- Experience in development of technical work documents such as work scopes, specifications, or contract documents.
- Work with engineers of varied disciplines to coordinate system interfaces.
- Must be a self-starter, capable of effectively working both as part of a team and independently.

We offer a competitive salary range of $83,600.00 - $130,700.00 annually, based on candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
