Job DescriptionThe Environmental Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental compliance programs, conducting inspections and audits, and providing technical expertise to support safe and compliant execution of work activities and site operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and follow programs and projects to ensure compliance with operational, design, regulatory and Naval Reactors Program requirements.
- Conduct inspections and interface with outside regulatory agencies.
- Provide subject matter expertise in one or more environmental program areas.
- Develop, deliver, and oversee training for NNL personnel to promote environmental awareness and proper stewardship.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 4 years of relevant experience.
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 2 years of relevant experience.
- Currently or previously NPE qualified.
- CTE/ACRS and 1 year EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program.

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
