Voucher Program Administrator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Voucher Program Administrator to join our team at the Housing Authority of Joliet. The successful candidate will have a strong background in housing administration, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Administer the HCV program, ensuring compliance with SEMAP indicators and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with landlords to negotiate contract agreements and resolve issues.
  • Provide guidance to clients on program procedures and answer inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate records of HAP payments and prepare monthly reports.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience in housing administration or case management.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in affordable housing, property management, or a related field.
  • Possession of an accredited HCV Certification (Specialist of Occupancy or HCV Specialist Certification) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Valid Illinois driver's license and ability to pass a criminal background check.
Compensation and Benefits

$17.30 - $24.83 per hour, commensurate with experience. Comprehensive benefits package includes 401(k), health insurance, life insurance, and paid time off.
