Front Desk Professional for Patient Services

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Front Desk Professional to join our team at North Carolina Retina Associates. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service to patients, work directly with physicians, and play a vital role in the smooth operation of our practice.
Estimated Salary: $35,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and register patients according to established protocols.
- Assist patients in completing all necessary forms and documentation, including medical insurance.
- Ensure patient information is accurate, including billing details.
- Inform patients of office procedures and policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Schedule appointments and move patients through the appointment process efficiently.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries.
- Collect payments and manage finances effectively.
- Review physician schedules to minimize reschedules.
- Obtain external medical reports and maintain patient records as required.
- Respond promptly to requests for information and register patients with copay assistance foundations when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, including effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to learn and master multiple software systems.
- Knowledge of ophthalmology and retina terminology.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position, preferred hours Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Some overtime may be required. We offer a dynamic and supportive work environment with opportunities for growth and development.
